INTENSIVE EMDR THERAPY IN-PERSON IN PLANO + ONLINE ACROSS TX, NV, MT, & SC

Life is hectic. The idea of fitting weekly therapy sessions into your already demanding schedule seems impossible.

Whether it's work commitments, family responsibilities, constant travel, or a combination of all of the above, it can feel like there's no space to breathe—let alone focus on personal growth. Intensive therapy can provide the flexibility to address important issues without having to make a long-term weekly commitment.

Though intensive therapy is emotionally deep and challenging, if you’re able to carve out time to care for yourself throughout and after your intensive program, this process can transform your life.

EMDR therapy intensives allow you to…

  • Tackle specific issues head-on—like memories of a traumatic event, work-related stress, family issues, a phobia, or anxiety around an upcoming event or milestone

  • Work on yourself and see personal growth without making an ongoing commitment to therapy

  • Get support to process and work through overwhelm and feel like yourself again even if you can’t pinpoint exactly what’s wrong

  • Supplement the work you’re doing with a therapist who isn’t EMDR-certified to accelerate your progress

  • See results quickly, and save time and money in the long term

Whatever’s been holding you back, EMDR intensives can give you the push you need to move forward.

MEET OUR FOUNDER, WHO SPECIALIZES IN INTENSIVES

APPROACH

A new outlook on an accelerated timeline.

  • When you first reach out, we'll schedule a consultation call to chat and see if our intensive therapy program feels like a good fit for you. I’ll answer any questions you have to make sure you feel comfortable and ready to take this step forward. After that, I'll send over some info about our EMDR Intensive program and our practice policies so you have access to all the details upfront.

  • Next, we'll set up a 90-minute pre-intensive assessment session, usually about two weeks from our initial consultation. To reserve your spot, we'll ask for a 50% deposit, and I'll send you a personalized workbook to get started on before our assessment. The exercises in the workbook will help get things rolling and prepare you for our time together. I’ll ask that you complete and return part 1 of your workbook at least five days before the 90-minute assessment.

During this session, we’ll have a chance to dive deeper into what you're looking to achieve and how I can best support you. We'll also plan out the intensive itself during this time. I’ll help you decide whether a 1, 2, or 3-day format would work best, and we’ll get everything scheduled for a week or two after this initial meeting.

  • Intensive sessions are 3 hours each. Based on what we discussed in our pre-intensive assessment, I will design these sessions to be supportive and tailored to your specific needs so this time is as productive as possible for you. The remainder of the total fee is due on the day of your first intensive session.

EMDR intensives can provide accelerated healing because they give us the ability to dive deep, target specific issues, and work on them without interruption. This creates opportunities for rapid progress on a more condensed timeline than weekly therapy allows for. You can learn more about the EMDR process here.

  • After your intensive session(s), we'll schedule a follow-up meeting within a couple of weeks. In this 90-minute session, we’ll check in on your progress, discuss how you can integrate what you’ve learned into your everyday life, and map out next steps.

EMDR therapy intensives can help you…

  • Release the struggles you’ve been carrying for far too long and start writing the next chapter of your life.

  • Learn how your past is connected to your present, and how to be conscious of patterns so you don’t repeat them in the future.

  • Stop letting stories from the past define you and truly feel hopeful about your ability to change your life.

  • Use the mind-body connection to align your heart, brain, and gut with your values and goals.

Common questions about EMDR intensive therapy

  • Intensive therapy is a focused and extended form of treatment that often takes place over a few days or weeks. It's designed to provide deep, concentrated support for those needing immediate and significant progress, and can be more cost-effective than traditional weekly therapy in the long run.

  • EMDR intensives can be very effective, especially for those looking to make rapid progress. They provide a concentrated burst of therapy that can help tackle deep-rooted issues more quickly than traditional weekly sessions. There have been several studies (like this one from the National Institutes of Health) that have shown this to be true.

  • The number of intensive sessions you'll need can vary based on your specific situation and goals. Some people may find significant relief after just a few sessions, while others might need more to fully address their concerns. In your initial pre-intensive session, we’ll decide together how many sessions are a good fit for you. We can always start with a 1-day program and add more as needed so you don’t feel you are overcommitting.
