Meet our Team

Hi! I’m Dr. Kristina Dingus Keuhlen and I would be honored to work together and help you through your current struggles. Whether it’s anxiety, communication challenges with your partner, difficulty finding balance in your daily routine, navigating your relationship with your kids, or feeling more individual purpose, I am happy to help you get to a place you want to be mentally and emotionally. I help clients find calm in life’s chaos and provide a warm and nonjudgmental space to empower each person to create change to live the life of their desires.

I provide systemic clinical mental health psychotherapy services to individuals, couples, and families, and I love working with teens and adolescents! I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (TX #202859) and I hold a Doctor of Philosophy in Marriage and Family Therapy from Texas Woman’s University as well as a Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy, a Master of Arts in Psychology with an emphasis in Mediation & Conflict Resolution, and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology.

I completed a clinical internship at Promise House, an emergency shelter and transitional living program for homeless and at risk youth. Here I gained extensive training and experience in crisis and trauma-informed care working with children, teens and adolescents, and young adults. I also led weekly Love & Logic parenting classes to help parents and caregivers fulfill state requirements for reunification with their children.

I trained at UT Southwestern Medical Center working with individuals, couples, and families experiencing chronic medical illness where the clinical focus is on strength, hope, and resiliency.

Additionally, I trained at the Texas Woman’s University Counseling and Family Therapy Clinic working with a wide variety of clients presenting with PTSD, anxiety, depression, sexual identity, family conflict, infidelity, interracial relationships, and LGBTQ struggles.

The combination of clinic training and experience paired with formal education provides the specialized skills needed to work efficiently with many types of people!

Lydia Apolinar

Hello! I’m Lyda Apolinar! During my time as a therapist, I have discovered we are all trying to thrive while simultaneously doing life as peacefully as possible. I recognize this can get tricky at times, especially when we are feeling overwhelmed, stressed, burnt out, like we have lost our way, or even when we just start to notice things aren’t quite the way we’d like them to be.

I take an eclectic approach when counseling clients and my integrative form of therapy adapts to your unique needs and goals. I work with teens, parents, families, individuals, and couples and create a tailored approach for each client.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (TX #83933) and hold a Master of Science/Arts in Counseling from Criswell College, as well as a Bachelor of Arts/Science in Sociology from University of North Texas. I have worked with adolescents and their families as a Restorative Practice Coach for over 13 years and began my career as a professional counselor at a local rehabilitation center Nexus Recovery specializing in adolescents and adults who faced severe trauma and addiction struggles.

I am currently a Student Support Specialist and have worked as an English Language Arts and English as Second Language teacher. I am painfully aware of the academic pressure and stressors teens and their families face that have been amplified since the pandemic and gently weave this influence into the therapeutic process.

While life transitions can be daunting, it will be my privilege to walk beside you as we untangle the messiness of life together.
