Hi! I am Anna Pavlisova and I am a graduate student intern completing my practicum at Abilene Christian University to satisfy the requirement to obtain my master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy.
I currently hold an MBA in hospitality management from Les Roches International School of Hotel Management. Throughout working in hospitality, I noticed I became so curious in the dynamics and relationships of people which led to my deep passion for therapy. This resulted in an unexpected career change where I left a successful career in business to pursue counseling professionally. I have extensive hospitality management and customer service experience and strive to apply my conflict resolution and de-escalation skills in my practice with clients.
As I start my journey as a marriage and family therapy graduate student intern, under the supervision of Dr. Kristina Dingus Keuhlen, PhD, LMFT-S (#202859), I work with individuals, couples, and families systemically from a relational perspective. I also love to work with parents, kids, adolescents, and families and it will be my privilege to work together to help you explore yourself, relationships, and goals.
I strive to be genuine, in and out of therapy room, and give my client’s my full focus and attention. I personally practice the theories and routines that I teach to my clients and I also have the pleasure of a dual cultural identity, and work diligently to practice from a lens of cultural sensitivity, diversity, and awareness.
